Paul R. Gore Jr. , 79 of Arab Alabama, died Wednesday November 23, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Gore was born August 23, 1937 in Princeton, West Virginia to Paul Randolph Gore Sr. and Lois Leona Clark Gore. He was married to the former Linda Joyce Key for 53 1/2 years. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars and retired in 1981making Arab his home. He was a life member of the DAV and VFW.
He was a member of Arab Church of God and former member of Joppa Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of 53 1/2 years Linda J. Gore; his son and daughter-in-law: Paul R. Gore III and Constance; his daughter and son-in-law: Deborah and Keith Rupert; grandchildren: Paul R. Gore IV and Michelle, Jessica Lynn Gore, Brittany Lynn Gore, Stephanie Rupert and Nick Brown; great grandchildren: Ryan Cole Smith, Ivey Lee Gore and Easton Jace Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul Randolph Gore Sr. and Lois Leona Gore and a sister: Moonyeen Poff.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday November 27, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Harold Daughtery, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday November 26, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
