Paul Kenneth George Peto – Obituary

Paul Kenneth George Peto, 66 of Yorba Linda, California went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the age of 66. He died as a result of cardiac arrest during a scuba diving outing with his son. Mr. Peto was born April 23, 1947 in London, England, son of George Thomas Peto and Patricia Lillian (Hatton). He was the oldest of 7 children. Mr. Peto was dearly loved by his family and will be terribly missed.

Mr. Peto was a Quality Assurance Manager with a large aerospace company in California, having lived in California since coming to the US in 1998 from the UK. His free time was usually spent working on one home project or another. In addition to being an electrical engineer, he was skilled in all aspects of home decorating, including electrical, plumbing, painting, and wall papering. His most recent home project was building a 30 foot waterfall down the slope of his back garden (yard) a few years ago. Mr. Peto was an active member of Influence Church of Anaheim Hills, California and a part of the group of volunteers helping to renovate the new church building recently purchased by the church.

Mr. Peto is survived by his wife, Vickie (Waddell) Edwards-Peto of Yorba Linda, California (a native of Decatur, Alabama), 3 children: son Brant Kristopher Paul Peto of Costa Mesa, California; daughter Shasta Edwards Lanford of Toney, Alabama; daughter Chella Lynn Edwards of Decatur, Alabama; 5 grandchildren: Kaylie Edwards; Kerra Edwards; Jodie Edwards; Kyler Lanford, and Bailey Edwards; and 1 great grandson Mason Girardi. He is also survived by 6 siblings: Rosemary Assiter and husband John; Elaine Foxley and husband Paul; Julia Magrath and husband Bruce; Anne Rees and husband David; and Jon Peto all of the greater London area of the UK, and Robert Peto and wife Trudy of New Zealand.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robbie Stofel officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bishop Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Larry Wayne Fincher, Cory Derrick, Michael Jennings, David Girardi, Cody Waddell and Larry Waddell.
