Natchez Trace Parkway Reports Single Vehicle Accident Results in Fatality

CHICKASAW COUNTY, MS – On Wednesday, September 3, 2014, Lee County 911 received notification of a single motor vehicle accident with serious injuries near milepost 232. U.S. Park Rangers and the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.

The vehicle, a black Ford Pickup, was operated by Jamie Adams, age 41, of Houston, MS. Preliminary information indicates Adams may have fallen asleep, crossed the roadway, and then struck a tree.  Adams, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
