Mickey Brent Pittenger Mickey Brent Pittenger, age 70 of Winchester, passed away at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems on Thursday, September 9, 2021. A native of Franklin County, he was born on June 28, 1951, to the late Thomas “Jack” and Louise (Stewart) Pittenger. Before his retirement, he worked as an engineer at Tepro where he was employed from 1990-2015. Mickey enjoyed gardening and watching NASCAR, cheering for anyone driving a Ford. He also enjoyed cooking and even watched the cooking channel for new ideas. Mickey was passionate about traveling, but his favorite place to go was Florida to see his daughter. He loved to attend festivals and airplane shows, especially World War II airplanes and history. He was always willing to lend a hand to his friends and neighbors and was known as “Mister Fix It” because he could fix anything. Mickey was a member of Winchester First United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Wayne Pittenger. Mickey is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Barbara Pittenger of Winchester; children, Beau Pittenger of Gallatin, and Mandi (Eddie Mitchell) Pittenger of Clearwater, Florida; and granddaughter, Adyson Pittenger of Gallatin. No formal services are planned due to his wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to American Heart Association.
