Edna Louise Colbert Amacher Edna Louise Colbert Amacher, age 91 of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at NHC Assisted Living of Cool Springs. She was born in Franklin County on May 1, 1930, to the late Robert and Pearl Lee (Branum) Colbert. A devoted homemaker, Edna enjoyed cooking, canning, and tending to her flowers and vegetable garden. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Edna was a member of Franklin First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Riley Amacher; and siblings, Charles “Tot” Amacher, Ruby Watson, and Josephine McNeese. Edna is survived by her loving children, Beth Amacher (Norm Towne) of Powder Springs, Georgia, and Chris Amacher of Hickman; grandchildren, Toby Towne, Jesse Towne, Nikki Craig, Ashley Badcock, and Beck Amacher; great-grandchildren, Layla and Jada Craig; Riley, Sadie, and Mavrik Badcock; siblings, Shirley Syler of Belvidere, and Robert “Boots” Colbert of Belvidere; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10-11 am on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Belvidere First United Church with funeral services following at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Belvidere First United Church Cemetery. The family requests all attendees please wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
