Mary Ilene Dawson, 85, of New Hope, passed away Wednesday.
She was preceded in death by father, John Knox; mother, Mary Elsie Knox; husband, Taylor Boyd Dawson; son, William Boyd Dawson; grandson, George Brent Hyatt; and son-in-law, Jessie A. Smith.
Surviving are daughter, Rose (Donnie) Hadley; daughter, Charlene (Ron) Clutts; daughter, Janice Smith; son, Wayne (Cathy) Dawson; daughter, Betty (Travis) Day; daughter, Barbara Ann (Randy) Morrison; daughter, Melissa Jane Patterson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn McDonald; daughter-in-law, Donna Tidwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home, Tuesday at 2:00 PM with Bro. Troy Taylor and Bro. Dewayne Hastings officiating.
Interment will be in the Moon Cemetery.
