Martha Zackeline Ferrell, age 72 of Estill Springs, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at St. Thomas Midtown Medical Center in Nashville. A native of Franklin County, she was born on November 14, 1949, in Winchester to the late Zachariah Clay and Ruby (Miers) Pickett. She had been employed at Worth Bat Company before retiring from Tepro with nineteen years of service. She enjoyed reading, knitting, and crocheting, as well as playing Yahtzee and tending to her flowers. Martha loved to visit 41A Gallery, where she would always order a banana split. She will be remembered as a loving grandmother and animal lover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Pickett; and cousins, James and Shirley Kindred. Martha is survived by her loving husband of thirty-four years, Ray Ferrell; daughter, Amanda (Scott) Glascoe; grandchildren, Tyler Sears, Haiden Glascoe, and Katie Glascoe; siblings, Donna Leath, Donnie Pickett, and James Pickett; former brother-in-law, Donny Leath; several nieces, nephews, and other friends and family; special friends, Paulette Reavis and Eddie (Karen) Steele; and beloved fur babies, Ryder and Macy (the cat).
