Vickie Lynn Walls, age 64 of Decherd, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County, she was born on May 29, 1958, to the late Robert and Nelda (Hasty) Partin. Vickie was currently employed by the Franklin County Schools System in the cafeteria at Franklin County High School and had previously worked at Tepro, Lanier, and Biltright. Known to her friends and family as the “sun seeker,” she loved to travel to Florida, especially Disney, and South Carolina. She enjoyed gardening, playing Uno, and sitting out by the pool, but most of all Vickie cherished the time spent with her beloved family. She will be remembered for her gentle, sweet, and loving nature and the compassion and forgiveness she gave to so many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rocky Partin; grandmother, Annie Hasty; and special friend, Carlin “Chachi” Hill. Vickie is survived by her loving husband of thirty years, James Walls; daughter, Shalina (Jason) Wilson; granddaughters, Madison Steele (Justin), and Kylea Wilson; great-grandchildren, Nalaia, and Nashton; siblings, Debbie (Dwight) Modesitt, and Steve Partin; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 13, 2022, in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
