Jamie was an elementary school teacher in Decatur for many years and a principal at Walter Jackson Elementary School when she retired. She was selfless, she was caring, and her greatest joy was seeing the joy in other people. She is remembered as not only the heart of the family but for always helping and encouraging others to follow their dreams.

Her legacy will be her husband, children and grandchildren. We will carry her with us for the rest of our days. Although our soul feels like it has been split in two, we will see her in our dreams. Rest in peace sweet mother, your spirit now lives on in all the countless lives you have touched.
