Marjorie Horner Roberson was born May 8, 1929 in Rienzi, MS the daughter of the late Warren Franklin and Pink Benjamin Box. She was born at the beginning of the Great Depression. From a young age, she was taught to be frugal and that carried on throughout her life.

Miss Roberson was a wonderful mother and Mee-Maw. She was a wise- sweet-caring spitfire with a great sense of humor. Her family enjoyed her cooking especially her fried bolgna sandwiches and fried chocolate pies. She loved to go shopping at Wal-Mart and the Dollar Store. She retired from Brown Shoe Factory after 30 plus years.

She was the kind of Mee-Maw who would eat ice cream for supper, believed that a meal wasn’t complete unless you had dessert, and her sense of style was always classy yet simple.

Miss Roberson departed this life on May 18, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 10 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Connie Horner of Mc Kenzie, TN; two sisters, Sara Case and husband Bobby of Rutledge, GA, Diane Thomas and husband Chick of McKenzie, TN; two granddaughters, Pattie Hubanks and wife Lisa Hewell of Fort Worth, TX, Nicole Worsham and husband Lee of Buchanan, TN; five great grandchildren, Alyssa Gentry, Hunter Worsham, Raylee Worsham, Miranda Hubanks, Wilson Hubanks; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Miss Roberson was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Walter Horner; four sisters, Ruth Matheny, Mildred Killough, Lois Evans, Lorene Coley; two brothers, Johnny and Paul Box.
