Sandra Kaye Kimmons, 79, of Ardmore, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Athens Limestone Hospital in Athens, Alabama.
She was born on Friday, October 18, 1946, to the late Gordon Keith Lawyer, Sr. and the late Theodora Barbara Shashek Lawyer.
Sandra lived in the Ardmore community for six years and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In her free time, she enjoyed working in her garden, quilting, cooking for those she loved, traveling, as well as spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, one son, Baby Kimmons, as well as one grandson, Wesley Frazier.
Sandra is survived by two sons, Otis (Christy) Kimmons, Jr. and Keith (Renee) Kimmons, one daughter, Sheri (Jimmy) Frazier, one brother, Gordon (Michael) Lawyer, one sister, Shirley (Art) Macfarlane, 11 grandchildren, as well as 23 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Ms. Kimmons will be held in Pensacola, Florida, at the LDS Chapel. For local friends and family, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
