Marion E. (Pete) Hall departed this life on Monday, July 1, 2013, at the age of 90 years and 2 months.
He was born in Caruthersville, Missouri on May 1, 1923, the son of the late Clyde and Maudie Brown Hall. On October 11, 1996, he was united in marriage to Romie Lucas, who survives.
Mr. Hall retired from Harmon Automotive as a machinist and production manager. He had been a resident of Hardeman County from 1961-2001 and Wayne County from 2001-2013. He served as an Army Ordance in WWII.
His life long hobby was restoring antique cars and was a member of the Studebaker Drivers Club. He enjoyed inventing and building different things. Mr. Hall also enjoyed helping his friends and his family, and was a member of the Valley View House of Prayer in Waterloo, Alabama.
In addition to his wife, Romie Lucas Hall of Lutts, Tenn.; he is survived by his children, Joyce Smith of Lutts, Tenn., Frances Cobb and husband Tony of Florence, Ala., James Larry Lucas and wife Cheryl of Lutts, Tenn.; grandchildren, Chris Smith and wife Katina, Michael Smith and wife Sharee, Amanda Smith and fiance Stratton Oakley, James Lucas, Jr. and wife Jenny, Ashley Cobb, Magan Cobb and fiance Seth Bullock; great grandchildren, Lundun Smith, Cheyenne Smith, Santana Smith, M.J. Smith, Makayla Smith, Jimmy-Keith Smith, Katie Lucas, Payton Cobb, and Lucas Cobb; sisters, Dorothy Hall of Hayti, Missouri and Bunia Vails of Toone, Tenn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Smith; sister, Cecil Alexander; brothers, Sonny Hall, Radine Hall, James Hall and 2 infant brothers.
Services will be held on today at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, Tenn., with Gary Duboise and Larry Burbank officiating. Burial will follow in the Fielder Cemetery, Hardin County, Tenn.
