Wardell M. Hodges Jr., 69, trasitioned into his heavenly Father’s realm on Friday, June 21, 2013, at his residence in Fort Wayne, Ind. Born in Sheffield, Ala., Wardell retired as a supervisor with GTE. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Hattie (Thompson) Hodges, of Sheffield, Ala.; two sisters, Dr. Brenda Hodges-Tiller, of Albany, Ga. and Mrs. Claire Joyce (Thomas) Paige, of Killen, Ala.; nieces; nephews; grandnieces and nephews; cousins; and friends. Wardell was preceded in death by his father, Wardell M. Hodges Sr.
The family will receive guests at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Trinity Memorial Funeral Home, 3935 East Second Street, Muscle Shoals, Ala. A private memorial service will follow. Local arrangements are by Trinity Memorial Funeral Home.
