Larry Eugene Jacobs, age 78, of Leighton, passed away on August 17, 2026. The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia. A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence.
Larry was a lifelong resident of the Shoals. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam era. He worked hard as a diesel mechanic and was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Jewel Davis Jacobs; children, Ronnie Davis, Kim Jacobs Myers, Larry Christopher Jacobs; sister, Kathie Jacobs Newberry (Casey); grandchildren, Cody Davis, Alexis Davis, Joey Myers, Tom Tom Myers; nieces and nephews, Clay Fleming, Jill Weaver, Taylor Newberry, Kyndal Newberry, Briley Newberry, and Zach Newberry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene & Mildred Jacobs; and grandson, Trevor Jacobs.
The pallbearers will be family and friends.
