Mrs. Magdalene Rye Tyler, 91, of Florence, died Saturday May 10, 2014, at Columbia Cottage. Visitation will begin at 1pm Thursday at Greenview Funeral Home followed by the funeral at 2pm in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Tyler was born in Marion County, AL. She was a member of Woodmont Baptist Church and for many years she worked at Northside Cottage as a floral designer. Also, she was a member of the Better Gardens Club and the Wildflower Society.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Paul R. Tyler. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Sizemore (Donald), of Florence; son, Gregory Tyler, TN; granddaughters, Melissa Ochoa, CA and Lane Letson Lynn, Athens, AL; one great-grandson, Tyler; two sisters.
