Limestone County Deputies On Missing Person Call Find Body Arrest Suspect For Abuse of a Corpse And Drug Charges

ELKMONT-On Thursday, April 17, 2025, the Limestone County Sheriffโ€™s Office received a missing person report from a family in the Ardmore, Alabama, community. The report involved an 18-year-old female who had not been seen or heard from, prompting immediate concern.
Investigators Martin Evans and Cooper Posey initiated an urgent search and began following leads to locations the individual was known to frequent. This search included a residence in the 24000 block of Esten Lane in Elkmont, Alabama, identified as the home of the individualโ€™s ex-boyfriend.
Upon arrival at the residence of Johnathan Andrew Etter, investigators located the body of the missing teen. A search warrant was quickly obtained, and during the execution of the warrant, evidence was discovered that led to the arrest of Etter. He is currently charged with Abuse of a Corpse, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Johnathan Andrew Etter, 20, of Elkmont, Alabama, has been booked into the Limestone County Jail. A bond has not yet been set.
This investigation is active and ongoing. Additional charges may be forthcoming. For the integrity of this investigation, no further information will be released at this time.
