Lena Will Thompson age 87 of Anderson, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at ECM Hospital in Florence, AL. Mrs. Thompson was born July 25, 1927 in Limestone County, AL to James Franklin Marlow and Irma Rena Long Marlow.
Services will be Thursday, July 16, 2015 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bill Barlow officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Anderson, AL.
Mrs. Thompson was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Alton Crutcher Thompson; parents, James and Irma Marlow; brother, Hollis Marlow; three sisters, Viola Kelley, Virginia Lawrence and Margaret Phillips. Survived by one son, A.F. Thompson and wife, Patty of Anderson; three grandchildren, Andy Thompson of Goodsprings, AL, Alanna Thompson of Decatur, AL and Melisa Graham and husband, Newell Rogersville, AL; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Graham of Auburn, AL, Audrey Graham of Rogersville, AL and Lacey Thompson of Goodsprings, AL; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Keith Marlow, Edward Phillips, Gary Phillips, James Lawrence, Ethan Graham, Richard Higginbotham, Hugh Wales and Andy Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Lawrence, Anthony Lawrence, Newell Graham and Dwight Matthews.
