Gilbert Lambert – Obituary

Gilbert Lambert, age 80, of Athens passed away July 13, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Lambert was born June 9, 1935 in Limestone County to Hubert A. Lambert and Naomi Clem Lambert.

Services will be Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Ron Lamb officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Lambert worked at Chrysler Corp. in Huntsville for 30 years. He was a member of Isom’s Chapel Methodist Church. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and going to yard sales.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert A. lambert and Naomi Clem Lambert; son Jeffery William Creel; and brother, Dr. Charles W. Lambert.

Survived by his wife of 40 years, Frances Alberta Creel Lambert; son, Gregory Anderson Creel; brother, Robert L. Lambert and wife Janie; sisters, Patricia Lambert Lamb and husband Ron, Di Anna Lambert Patton and husband Bud; sisters-in-law Patricia Smith Lambert and Juanita Pike Hardiman; and brother -in-law, Claude W. Pike and wife Nan.

Pallbearers will be Gregory Lambert, Christopher Lambert, Michael Lambert, Matthew Creel, Tim Lamb and William Pike.
