Lemuel S. Gulley – Obituary

Lemuel S. Gulley, age 94 of Huntsville, fought the good fight, kept the faith, and finished his course Saturday.

Mr. Gulley was a longtime member of The Church of God of Prophecy. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from Redstone Arsenal.

He was preceded in death by his wife, of 59 years, Velma Gulley, sons Jimmy Gulley and Lavon Gulley.

Survivors include a son, Charles Gulley, daughters-in-law Bonnell Gulley, Carolyn Gulley, grandsons Stephen (Connie) Gulley, Stan (Shannon) Gulley, Richard Warren, granddaughters Lavonda (Leslie) Curtis, Lori (Rodney) Thompson, great-grandchildren Victoria, Tiffany, Tyler, Jacob, Michael, Katelyn, Zachary, Jaylen and Joshua and one godson Joshua Wilson.

Arrangements are being handled by Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends Sunday, from 5pm – 7pm. The funeral will be, at Spry Chapel, Monday at 2:00 pm with Bishop L.V. Jones and Bishop Jim Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
