Larry Sherrod “Tucker” McCarley, 74, departed this life for his eternal home from his residence on Saturday, July 26, 2025, after a period of declining health. Born May 29, l951 to the late Sherrod McCarley and Katie Yarber McCarley Credille, he graduated from Booneville High School in l969 and later, Northeast Miss. Community College. Tucker owned and operated McCarley Plumbing and Electrical Service in Booneville for over 40 years before retiring. He married the love of his life, Brenda Kaye Windham at Jerico Baptist Church on August 8, l970, a marriage of almost 55 years. He was a faithful, engaged member of Asbury Church of Mississippi, formerly Asbury UMC near Baldwyn, where he held virtually every office in the Church. He enjoyed “tinkering”, loving his family, Church and purpose-filled living.
A Life Celebration service will be held at 5 PM Tuesday, August 5, 2025 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Bro. Robert McCoy officiating and family members paying tribute through words and music. Visitation will be from 4 PM-service time Tuesday, August 5th only.
