Later he delivered fresh produce and enjoyed talking to people on his produce stops. He went to Birmingham two times a week for produce. He also loved music, especially country music and Blues, and enjoyed just sitting in his chair listening to his music. Mr. Powers loved his stray cats and loved to feed them.
