On May 4, 2025, beloved father and grandfather Lanny Michael Sumner, aged 73, passed away at his home in Pell City. An avid believer in the unknown, his death reminds us that there are adventures beyond our comprehension. He leaves behind two children; Jason Sumner and Ashley Sumner Green, as well as grandchildren; Michael Sumner, Penelope Browder, Spencer Browder, and Celeste Green. He also leaves behind an extended family of three stepchildren and their children. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that fellow mourners make a small donation to the charity of their choice.
