Keith MitchellMr. Keith Lee Mitchell, age 65, of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday June 9, 2024, at Generations of Vernon.

Mr. Mitchell was born March 5, 1959, in Columbus, MS, to the late L.D. and Mattie Lee Hudson Mitchell.  He was a 1977 graduate of Lamar County High School and the maintenance supervisor at Generations of Vernon.  He was a faithful member of Lone Oak Church of Christ and was a member of the Star-Sunnyside Fire Department.  Mr. Mitchell enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending time with this family.  He was a friend to everyone he met.

Funeral services will be Thursday, at 5:30 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Phillip Rickman officiating.  Burial will follow at the Lone Oak Church of Christ Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3:30-5:30 prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be Randy Delk, Ted Hudson, Brian Scott, Dominique Mastin, Craig Mitchell, Doyle Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Jason Mitchell, Brandon Hollis, Mike Unruh, Yogi Waldon, and Tim Pate.  Honorary pallbearers will be the administration and staff at Generations of Vernon, members of the Star-Sunnyside Fire Department, members of the Lone Oak Church of Christ, Johnny Mac Lacy, and Ricky Sanders.

Survivors include his wife, Nedra Mitchell, of Vernon, AL; one daughter, Brooke (Blake) Enloe, of Guntersville, AL; two sons, Brad (Micah) Mitchell of Huntsville, AL and Brent (Brandi) Mitchell of Vernon, AL; eight grandchildren, Landis Mitchell, Heidi Mitchell, Halle Mitchell, Layton Mitchell, Waytt Mitchell, Layne Mitchell, Baylor Enloe, and Paisley Enloe; one brother, Larry (Vicky) Mitchell; one sister, Patsy (Rex) Hollis; and his work sons, Brian Scott and Dominique Mastin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
