Kenneth “Toby” Mewbourn of Grassy, Alabama, was born on February 16, 1947, and passed away on April 18, 2025. He lived all of his life in the Grassy community and was a graduate of Lexington High School and a Vietnam veteran. He retired from Browns Ferry.
Toby is survived by his wife Marie, son, Greg; daughter-in-law, Sonya; step-grandson Gabriel Stegmaier; sisters, Ann Greene and Regenia Lowery; brother, David; brother-in-law, Siebert Lusk; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Lual Mewbourn; mother, Mildred; brothers, Larry and Tim; sister, Patsy Lusk, brother-in-law, Michael Lowery; and sister-in-law Carolyn Wisdom.
Toby was a loving husband and father, who was deeply devoted to his family and community. He will be deeply missed by all.
His memory will be honored in a graveside service at Grassy Cemetery on Wednesday, April 23, at 11:00 a.m.
