Karen Louise Curlee Neir, 80, of Owens Cross Roads, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 28, after a brief 6 month illness. Mrs. Neir graduated from nurse training in 1963 and served as a dedicated nurse for 50 years fulfilling her childhood dreams. She volunteered with many organizations. She loved to travel and make scrapbooks of her travels.
Survivors include husband, Arley Neir; son, Andrew Neir (Kristin); daughters, Deborah Clark (Roland) and Cynthia Templeton; brother, Richard Curlee (Kathie); 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Ernest and Bertha Marie Peterson Curlee and son-in-law, John Templeton.
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4th, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:30. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
