Mary Grace “Gracie” Niemeyer entered into the kingdom of heaven September 25, 2021. She was a true and wonderful friend who never met a stranger. Her heart for animals, especially those in need, was a way she cared for others. She rescued everything from hamsters and turtles to dogs and even a really ugly pig. Her passion for exploring and finding new adventures always kept her on the go. She was a graduate of Pinnacle Private Academy in 2016. She was employed at Storage Sense of Hampton Cove.
Survivors include her parents, Mary Niemeyer and Duane Hellebrand (Allison); great aunts and uncles, Jasper and Kaye McFarlen, Ken and Joan McFarlen, Jim and Shirley McFarlen, and Allie Tucker; aunts, Cathy Ontiveros and Libbie Hicks; uncle, Mike Hellebrand (Beth); cousins, Amy Newland (Tim), Missy Ontiveros, Alex Ontiveros (Mackenzie), and Mollye and Sam Hellebrand; special Gram, Peg Skrenes; best friend, Thomas Miskelly; and many other close friends and family. She was preceded by her grandparents, Lavon and Bernd Hellebrand, Burton and Mary Ellen Niemeyer, and Norm Skrenes.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 30, 2021, from 12 to 1 p.m. at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 Longwood Dr. SE, Huntsville, AL 35801. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Please note masks will be required.
