Ms. Brown died on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at her residence . She was born September 29, 1964, in Morgan County, to Ollie Brown and Rella Marie Taylor Brown.

Judy (aka- Lillah Hooten) was the fourth of five children to Ollie and Marie Brown, of Valhermoso Springs, Alabama, and easily the most stubborn of the five… which is saying something! A Wednesday Adams doppelganger, she was an amazing actress and won several regional and state competitions. She also became the first female ROTC Battalion Commander at Brewer High School. Instead of persuing an acting career, Judy enlisted in the Army after graduation. She was named Outstanding Cadet of her class prior to being deployed to Germany. Judy eventually left the Army after choosing to be a wife and mother but continued to support the military as a volunteer through various roles. After her family was transferred back to the states, Judy embarked on a different career as a substitute teacher, which enriched her life as well as many others for 16 years.

God gave Judy the gift of laughter and helping other people along their way and she was a true friend. Her friends and family pray her heaven is filled with her favorite things: her loved ones who have gone on before her, 4 leaf clovers, light houses, murder mysteries, bacon, and NASCAR!
