Obituary of David Michael Mueller David M. Mueller, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on April 26, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mary (Bruha), sons Thomas and his wife, Giulia (Zanella), and David; his mother, Anita O’Keefe, brothers Melvin and Albert, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin, sister Ann Mueller-Augistin, and brother Thomas.

David grew up in New Orleans and graduated from Bonnabel High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard where he served for 11 years. He then joined the US Department of State and was stationed in various posts throughout Europe, Africa, and South America. During this time, he met and married Mary, and their two children were born. After retiring from the government in 2011, he and his family made their home in Decatur, Alabama where he worked as a real estate agent and photographer.

A celebration of life will be held later in the year. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude.org.

For the prayer card on the front a picture of David with his name, birthday and day of passing.

For the back can this be printed or is it too long?

A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we’re together again.
