Funeral service for Joseph Malachi Alexander, age 7, will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Francis Proctor and Sylvia Proctor officiating. Visitation will be tonight, May 27, 2014, from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Morris Chapel Cemetery.
Joseph, who died May 25, 2014, at Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, was born December 28, 2006, to parents Amy Sheree Alexander and William Chad Goodwin. Joseph was a member of Speake Christian Fellowship. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Ola Bunn.
Survivors include his parents of Arley; brother, Mikhail Logan of Arley; sister, Brooklyn Elizabeth Treece of Haleyville; grandmothers, Amy Jones of Moulton, Sharrie Lee Rubsh of Arley; grandfathers, Nathaniel Alexander of Moulton, David Greathouse of Arley; uncles, Chris Alexander (Samantha) of Trinity, Mykol Martin (Ashley) of Russellville; Cousins, Elie Alexander of Trinity, Zoey and Ellie.
Pallbearers will be Chris Alexander, Wesley Roenicke, Tyler Campbell, Chris Nilsen, Jay Terry and Michael Manning.
