Funeral service for Katherine “Kay” Higginbotham, 71, of Hartselle will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 3 p.m. at the Coffey Center, (next door to Parkway Funeral Home) with the Rev. Shane Williams officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the Coffey Center. Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Katherine, who died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at her residence was born September 22, 1942, in West Virginia to Truman and Omie McFann. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Trina Wells.
Survivors include her spouse, Billy Ray Higginbotham Sr.; sons, Billy Higginbotham Jr., Jon Higginbotham; daughters, Belinda Johnson, Betty Hammond; stepson, Henry Higginbotham; stepdaughters, Annette Sanchez, Rita Simon; grandchildren, Ashley Barbee, Ryan Wells, Freddie Wells, Olen Kilpatric, Shawna Higginbotham, Ceaira Higginbotham, Rodney Hammond, Timmy Hammond, Cody Burgess, Aaron Higginbotham; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Margret Gall and Roaslie SFerra.
Pallbearers will be Billy Higginbotham, Jon Higginbotham, Byron Johnson, Bobby Curry and Tazz Curry.
