Joseph Francis Lambert III, known affectionately as Joey to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2024, at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Born on May 18, 1972, in Huntsville, Joey’s life was a testament to his generous spirit, his loving heart, and his handy skills that could fix just about anything.

Joey’s journey through life was marked by a steadfast dedication to his family and his work. A loving husband, he celebrated 30 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Karen Lambert, who remains to honor his memory. His legacy continues through his sons, Jared Joseph Lambert, with his wife Faith, and Jordan Hunter Lambert, as well as his cherished granddaughters, Skylyn J. and Ila J. Lambert, who brought immense joy to his later years. Joey was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph F. Lambert Jr. and Joyce Mayes Lambert, who instilled in him the values of hard work and commitment to family that he carried throughout his life.

Joey’s professional life was defined by his entrepreneurial spirit. As a self-employed contractor specializing in concrete work, he built a reputation for quality and reliability. His work not only stands as a testament to his skill but also to his dedication to providing for his family. Joey began working at a young age and continued to do so with vigor and passion, ensuring that those he loved were always cared for.

An avid outdoorsman, Joey found peace and pleasure in the simple joys of nature. He was happiest with a fishing pole in hand, waiting patiently by the water’s edge or cheering on his beloved Alabama Football team with a hearty “Roll Tide!” His love for nature extended to wildlife, and he often spent time traveling to appreciate the beauty of deer, foxes, and any other animals he encountered along the way.

Generous to a fault, Joey never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. His skillful hands were often at work, not just in his professional endeavors but also in the service of friends, family, and neighbors. It was this generosity, paired with his loving nature, that earned him the deep respect and affection of all who knew him.

Joey’s family will remember him as the rock of their lives—an unwavering presence of love, support, and wisdom. His laughter, his warmth, and his ability to provide comfort in times of need will be sorely missed. Joey’s departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

As we bid farewell to Joseph Francis Lambert III, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by the love he shared and the lives he touched. He will be remembered not just for the work he did with his hands, but for the love he built with his heart. Joey’s story is one of a life dedicated to the well-being of his family, the pursuit of his passions, and the countless moments of kindness that defined his character.

In remembering Joey, we are reminded of the beauty in simplicity, the strength in kindness, and the enduring power of love. His was a life that exemplified the best of us, and his memory will continue to inspire those who knew him to live with the same generosity and love that Joey embodied every day.
