Funeral for John Marion Montgomery will be Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday night from 6 until 8 at Elliott Funeral Home.
Mr. Montgomery, who dies Thursday, March 20, 2014 was born January 21, 1919 in Lawrence County to Robert Pryor and Lillie Bragg Montgomery.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Erin Stuart Montgomery, his parents, son, Lance Montgomery and two brothers, Wallace Montgomery and Lovis Montgomery. He survived by one son, Mark Montgomery and wife Cathy; two grandsons, Matt Montgomery and wife Gini; and Wyatt Montgomery and wife Ashley; two granddaughters, Amy Hall and Husband Steve and Abby Terry and husband Caleb; 6 greatgrandchildren, Macy and Josie Montgomery , Lillit Cate and Gabe Hall, Elliot and Finley Terry; one sister, Irene Montgomery Shoemaker.
