John Douglas Medley, 47 of Lacey’s Spring died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Medley was born on August 21, 1968 in Madison County, Alabama, the son of John Oliver and Charlotte Thomas Medley. He grew up in Lacey’s Spring, Alabama, where he was a painter. He and the former Tonya Rena Boone were married for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Tonya Boone Medley; Daughter: Kayra June Medley; Father : John Oliver Medley (Nell); Step Brothers: Roland Edger (Susan), Robbie Edger (Karen); Step Sisters: Gaynell Keith (James), Lynell Edger; Grandmother: Avis Thomas; Aunt: Bonnie Thomas; Uncles: Terry Thomas and Stanley Thomas; Preceded in death by his Mother: Charlotte Thomas Medley.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday – January 29, 2016 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel – Morgan City, Brother Chad Chamberlin, officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Morgan County Alabama, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be David Reliford, Eddie Freeman, Chad Hardy, Jeff Coots, Robbie Edger and Roland Edger.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday – January 28, 2016 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel.
