Joe Kenneth Whitt, Jr., (“Jody”), 65, of Ardmore, Alabama, passed away on July 1st, 2025. He was born September 7th, 1959, and was raised in the Pinedale community. He graduated from Ardmore High School in 1977. Jody was an electrician who also enjoyed farming, landscaping, and woodworking. He was strong in his Christian faith at his passing, and he will be missed.
Jody was preceded in death by his father, Joe Kenneth Whitt, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Sarah Willingham Whitt; his sons, Joe Kenneth Whitt, III (Karen) and Dylan Taylor Whitt; his brother, Jamie Steven Whitt; his sister, Julie Whitt Schumacher (Daniel); his grandson, Samuel Whitt; and 17 nieces and nephews.
Jody will be remembered in a family service and interred at Gatlin Cemetery beside his father and grandparents. The family requests any donations made in Jody’s memory go to the Piney Grove Baptist Church missions fund (www.pgbcardmore.org/give).
Ardmore Chapel will be assisting the family.
