Cornelius Rich,79, of Ardmore, Tennessee, passed away on July 3, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on Thursday, December 20, 1945, to Mr. Riley Lee Rich and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Smith Rich in Elkmont, Alabama.
Mr. Rich spent a majority of his life in Ardmore, Tennessee, where he retired from the United States Postal Service.
Cornelius was preceded in death by both of his parents, two half-brothers, two half-sisters, and one stepbrother.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Rich, one son; Lanny (Shelly) Rich of Ardmore, Tennessee, one daughter; Mitzi (David) Owen of Ardmore, Tennessee, two brothers; David (Nancy) Rich of Ardmore, Alabama, Charles (Sharon) Rich of Ardmore, Alabama, one stepbrother; Stevie Lewter of Ardmore, Alabama, one stepsister; Carol Hooper of Ardmore, Tennessee, three grandchildren; Rachel (Dalton) Richardson, Harlee Rich, Sarah Ryley Prince, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A chapel service will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Bro. Steve Hargrove will officiate the service.
