Joan Irvin Phillips, 79, of Florence, passed away Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at her residence. She was a member of Petersville Church of Christ. Visitation will be today from 1-3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park with Adam Richardson officiating.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, James Grant Phillips, and parents, Reuben Jefferson and Catherine Elizabeth Irvin.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Cox (Tony), of Killen, and grandchildren, Ethan and Madeline Cox.
Active pallbearers will be Pendy Ellard, Irvin Ellard, Chase England, Johnny Pigg, Bill Cox, and Scott Rickard.
Memorials may be made to the Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter.
