Jimmy David Defoe, Sr., 80, of Athens, passed away May 7th, 2023. Mr. Defoe was born on April 2nd, 1943, to Ed and Charlean (Smith) Defoe.
Mr. Defoe is survived by his son Jim Defoe of Athens, AL; daughter Heather Hudson (Mat) of Harvest, AL; grandchildren Joseph Defoe (Shelby) of Athens, AL and Sarah Hudson of Harvest, AL; five great-grandchildren; and sister Carolyn Russell of Denver, Co.
Mr. Defoe is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Charlean Defoe; wife Brenda Defoe; grandchild Holly Defoe; great-grandchild Samuel Defoe; and sister Wanda Van-Hoozer.
The graveside service will be Wednesday, May 10th, 2023, at Limestone Memorial Gardens, at 1:00 p.m., with Tony Pack officiating. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of North Alabama.
