Paul Joseph Barcomb Paul Joseph Barcomb was born on September 9,1941 in Cheever, NY and passed away on April 2, 2025, in Tampa, FL.

Paul attended Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central High School, Class of 1959, followed by Norwich University, Class of 1963, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Paul had a distinguished career with The United States Army Corps of Engineers. He served two combat tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB), the Legion of Merit, and the Bronze Star, among others. He attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (LTC), retiring in 1987. Paul used his engineering skills throughout his lifetime. There was very little he couldn’t build or fix, and he spent his retirement years donating his time to Habitat for Humanity, where he became known as “The Saw Guy.”

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Neill Barcomb.

He is survived by his children, Traci Barcomb Salem, Paul Barcomb Jr, and Travis Barcomb (Amy), stepsons Gary Allmond (MaryJo) and Jeff Allmond, twelve grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will be held on April 25, 2025, from 12pm-2pm at Morrison Funeral Homes, 12801 AL-20, Florence, AL 35633, followed by a graveside service with full military honors at the Neill Cemetery, Savannah, TN.
