Billy J. “Bill” Lewis passed away on Sunday, May 7th, 2023, at Regency Health Care, Huntsville, AL, at the age of 83.
He was the son of James Huey and Fannie Harris Lewis who predeceased him.
He had a career as a civil servant for the U.S. Army as a Logistics Management Specialist for over thirty-five years.
After retirement, he established an antique restoration service, including restoring antique paintings and porcelain pieces. He was a master in decorating, with a degree in floral arrangements, textiles, and related subjects.
He loved God, his family, friends, and animals. He as a member of Mayfair Church of Christ for many years.
He is survived by his sisters Margaret Lewis Vaughn (Phillip), Betty Lewis Pepper (late Marion), and Glynda Lewis Walker (late Harold Wayne), nieces, nephew, cousins, and a special family- the Eddie Bowabs of Huntsville, AL.
The graveside service will be Saturday, May 13th, 2023, at Roselawn Cemetery, at 1:00 p.m., with Joel Hamm, Ken Pepper, and Eddie Bowab officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, from 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
