Jimmie Neil Alldredge known as “Big Red,” age 75, of Baileyton passed away Friday February 28, 2025 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham Alabama.
Jimmie was born March 21, 1949 in Falkville Alabama to MP and Ola Woodall Alldredge. He was a US Army veteran and a lifelong resident of the Ryan and Baileyton communities.
Jimmie was a retired truck driver and enjoyed spending his mornings at Parkside Restaurant talking and visiting with friends. He never met a stranger and was always laughing and joking with everyone. He enjoyed Alabama football and going to church at Hilltop.
Jimmie is survived by daughter Brandy Alldredge Sweeney (Tim); son Joey Alldredge; grandchildren Kristin, Jake, Allison, Alexis, Baylee Grace, Donnie Joe; great-granddaughter, Natalie; and great-grandson Miller. Sisters, Carolyn Sue Oaks (Jerrell), Sandra McMinemon (Billy); brothers Maurice Alldredge (Janice), Jackie Alldredge (Bonnie), Bobby Alldredge, Ray Alldredge and a host of nieces and nephews.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his father, MP Alldredge, and mother Ola Woodall Alldredge.
A memorial service will be held for Jimmie at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. and services to follow at 2:00 p.m.
