Jeremy Slade Poindexter was born July 16, 1978 in Selmer, TN the son of Jo Anne “Jody” Brown Poindexter and the late Ricky (Pony) Joe Poindexter.
Jeremy enjoyed riding in the bottoms with the radio up listening to country music. An avid outdoorsman who loved relic and arrowhead hunting, duck hunting with his beautiful labs, and fishing. He was a history buff concentrating on World War II, Civil War, and Native American History. He spent a lot of time walking around Shiloh National Military Park. Everyone who knew Jeremy, knew how much he loved to prank, joke and aggravate.
Jeremy departed this life on February 25, 2022 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 43 Years, 7 Months, 9 Days. He is survived by his mother, Jo Anne “Jody” Poindexter of Adamsville, TN; fiancé’, Jessica Wheeler of Michie, TN; his children, Hunter, Madelyn and Austin; a sister, Shellie Dawn King of Selmer, TN; a brother, Chas Poindexter and fiancé Felicia Eau-clair of Ramer, TN; nieces and nephews, Alan King, Monty King, Garrett King, Carleigh Poindexter, Lilian Eau-clair, Isabel Eau-clair, Phillip Eau-clair (Makayla); great nephews, Landon Wardlow and Kaisen King; his fur babies, Beau and Bella; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his father, Jeremy was preceded in death by grandparents, Earl and Jane Brown, Roland and Eliza Poindexter.
