February 26, 1973 – July 19, 2026

Jeff Stephens, age 53 of Albertville, Alabama passed away peacefully Sunday, July 19, 2026 in his home. He was born on Feb. 26, 1973 in Gadsden, Alabama to Dale and Linda Stephens. Jeff will be remembered for his love of family, especially the grandbabies and friends. When he wasn’t delivering mail for the postal service his favorite pastimes were golf, karaoke, bowling, fishing, hunting and finding a good deal at the thrift stores.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years; Amy McCall Stephens, children; Cherie (Seth) Chaviers, Ethan (CC) Stephens, Sarah Stephens, Nathan Stephens and Maegan Stephens and his grandchildren: Harrison, Brooklyn and Lucia. He is also survived by his father; Dale Stephens, and his siblings; Melony Holland (James “Bubba” Allen), Angie (Steve) Gillilan, Kim (Todd) Smith, Kristi Stephens, and Jason (Lorie) Stephens, mother-in-law; Trudy McCall and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother; Linda Stephens, grandparents; James “Ott” and Sarah Stephens and Dennis and Marguerite Johnson, nieces; Jessica Smith and Cheyenne Bishop Hall, great nephew; Brody Brewer, great niece; Timber Brewer, brothers-in-law; Terry Holland
and Dale Abbott, father-in-law; Jerry McCall and mother-in-law; Belinda England Tillman.

Special thanks to the staff from Shepherds Cove Hospice and family friend Kim Oliver for the care they provided over the past few months.

His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2026 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Solitude Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Keith Cornelius will officiate his service and pallbearers will be Shadrick Adams, Brandon Autwell, Ray Coleman, John
Estes, Gary Ledbetter, Todd Smith, Heath Stanfield and Donny Tanner. Honorary pallbearers are his karaoke crew. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until
8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Albertville Memorial Chapel.
The family will accept flowers or you can make a donation to Shepherds Cove Hospice.
