A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Jean Howdyshell Parker, 91, will be Friday, November 22, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Hartselle Memory Gardens with Bro. Dan Prince officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No public visitation is scheduled.
Mrs. Parker passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born April 28, 1933, in Viginia, to Luther Howdyshell and Cora Minnick Howdyshell.
She was employed by Merle Norman Cosmetics, in retail sales, prior to her retirement. She attended the Church of Christ at Westview in Hartselle, and loved her church and its members. She worked at the Caring Place and for the Senior Center. She enjoyed reading, mostly Amish literature, as she had a history with the Mennonites.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and all but one of her brothers and sisters.
