James William Talbot II, 88, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Milstead and Dorothy Wolf Talbot of Alexandria, VA, and his wife, Judy Ogles Talbot. He is survived by his son, James W. Talbot III, of Thomasville, GA; stepchildren, Chip Stephens of Huntsville, AL, Robby Clark and wife, Shelby, of Franklin, TN, and Katherine Jones of Huntsville, AL; and grandchildren, Caroline Talbot of Thomasville, GA, Bonnie Clark and Collier Clark of Franklin, TN.
Mr. Talbot graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture in 1957 and retired from NASA in 1997 as a Chief Architectural Engineer. In 1985, Mr. Talbot retired from the Army Reserve and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, July 22 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel with the Rev. Coy Hallmark officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
