Billie Karen Teters Nance (“Karen”) passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021. A lifelong resident of Madison County, she was a devoted follower of Christ and worshiped with the saints at Gooch Lane Church of Christ. Until her retirement in 2012, she was a civil servant for the US Army in the Stinger and Precision Fires programs. Karen loved her family wholeheartedly and was especially proud of her granddaughters Avery and Delaney.
She was preceded in death by her father Billy G. Teters. She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Nance Lewis (Daniel), her mother Barbara Teters Hilliard (Malcolm), her sisters Sherry Pierce (Richard) and Leesa Hartz (Terry), and many more family and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. She will be interred on July 21, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, AL
