James Thomas Phillips age 87 of Bridgeport passed away on December 1, 2025 at his home. Mr. Phillips graduated from Howard/Samford University in Birmingham with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Carol Rives Phillips; sons, Brian (Paula) Phillips & Barry (Denise) Phillips; granddaughters, Meghann (Jack) Phillips-Saunders, Bently (Kellan) Strain, and Amanda (Will) Maynor; great grandsons, Mason Maynor, Oaks Strain, and Myles Maynor. Preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Mary Jane Phillips.
Jim loved God, his family, his community, and his church. It is with deep gratitude that the family thanks the angels of Amedisys Health Care and Blue Violet Caregivers.
Per his request, there will be no visitation or services.
