Jesus came for James Eugene Robinette age 77, early Tuesday morning July 15th,2025, in Russellville Alabama. The Family will receive Friends Friday July 18, 2025, from 10:30AM to 12:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church Russellville, Service will follow at noon.
James was born to Grover and Marie Robinette on November 24, 1947, in Kingston, Tennessee. His life’s work was an Auto Diesel Mechanic receiving his training in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He moved to Northwest Alabama area and worked for Muscle Shoals Diesel Service until his retirement.
After retiring and meeting ‘Miss Vicki’, James’ passion for living was studying the Word of God and sharing the love of Jesus Christ. He sometimes taught Sunday School and drove the church bus for Senior Trips.
James was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents Isaiah and Velma Robinette, Maternal Grandparents James H and Vernie Fritts, Father Grover Robinette, Stepmother Myrtle Robinette and Mother Thelma Marie Hux.
James is survived by his wife, ‘Miss Vicki’, as he lovingly called her, son Carlos Quezada (Flor), sister, Amy Gamble (E.R.’ Bug’), nephew Wayne Gamble (Amanda), niece Rachel Moseley (Marvin), great nephews Matthew Gamble, Joshua Moseley, great nieces Kaitlyn Moseley, Natalie Gamble, Opal Ann Moseley and Lana Moseley. He is also survived by his stepchildren, whom he loved dearly, Melissa Carroll (Mark), Rodney Smith (Alison), step-grandchildren Andrew Carroll, Megan Carroll and Brandon Smith, uncle, JR Robinette, aunt, Norma Jean Hensley, several cousins, many friends and special friend from childhood, Lamar Childress. His former sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Martha and Junior Armstrong, and former niece Nicole Davis (Jason) and former great nephew, Jacob.
He will be greatly missed by their menagerie of pets especially his dog named Chip and a Scarlett MaCaw named Red. The other farm critters include horses, parakeets, guineas, ducks, chickens, and goats.
