Buddy was a 1959 Graduate of Morgan County High School where he excelled in football being named the 1959 Most Valuable Player. He married the love of his life, Sara Ann Mattox Roberts in November of 1960. He was a wonderful family man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved family gatherings and as long as his health permitted, he supported all the Grandchildren’s ballgames. Buddy enjoyed meeting his buddies for breakfast every morning and sharing in good fellowship.
Buddy retired from his job that he thoroughly enjoyed with NASA at Redstone Arsenal, where he filmed Safely and Training Videos for the Military. When he wasn’t at Redstone, he was on his family farm in Hartselle. He was a fish farmer, and avid scuba diver, a hunter, and a wonderful conservationist, building duck boxes and feeding deer.
