Hazel Imogene Tubb – Obituary

HazelHazel Imogene Tubb, of Tuscumbia, died Tuesday May 27, 2014. She was born August 18, 1919, in Franklin County Alabama, attended Howell-Graves School and graduated from Colbert County High School. She worked at the Colbert County Rationing Board and later as an insurance clerk at Helen Keller Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. Her family will receive friends Friday, noon until 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with burial in K P Cemetery, Russellville. She is survived by her daughters; Martha Rose Black and husband Marcel, Beth Ann Everett and husband Steven, grandchildren; Edgar Black, Nathaniel Everett, Virginia Fern Tate and Marybeth Lee, great grandchildren; Grissom Russell Tate and Graham Everett Lee, Whitney Elaine Tate and Reid Whitaker Tate. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Eugene B. Tubb, brother, Kenneth Darrell Bruton and her parents, Charles Peter Bruton and Fern Bullington Bruton. Pallbearers are Edgar Black, Nathaniel Everett, Russ Tate, David Lee, Kenneth Bruton, Guy Fry and Joel Fry. Mrs. Tubb’s family acknowledges with gratitude, companions, Brenda Schulte, Dean Belue, Amy Underwood and the staff at Cottage of the Shoals.
