Services for Ellis Arnold Ross, 83, of Florence, Ala., will be held at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel in Florence/Central Heights, AL, on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with Wayne Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Lindsey Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Mr. Ross served in the Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by wife Bonnie Stowe Ross, mother Nannie Mae Ross, father Benjamin Franklin Ross, sisters Frankie Mae Grigsby and Ruth Brown, brother Glenn Ross and daughter Rhoda Terrell.
Survivors include sons Dwight Ross (Paulette), Steve Ross (Drusilla), daughters Lisa Riley (Terry) and Patsy Chambers, brothers Holland Ross (Gaynell), Douglas Ross and Bud Ross (Marie), sister Bertha Goodman. There were 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers include Casey Chambers, Chris Chambers, Matthew Riley, Brian Ross, Matthew Haithcoat and Tyler Fulmer.
